Sahlen's Donation Policy

At Sahlen Packing Co., we strive to make a difference and improve the local community each and every day. On an annual basis, we receive numerous donation requests and simply cannot support or respond to every request we receive. All requests should be submitted at least six weeks prior to the event date. If a donation request is made within the six-week window, we will have to decline the request. You must attach with your request, a formal letter on official organizational letterhead. Please only hit the submit button once when finished with the form, otherwise, multiple submissions will be entered. If a donation is approved, you will be contacted by someone from Sahlen on how to fulfill your request. Follow-up calls and emails are not necessary. Most donations will be in the form of a gift basket or products, depending on the event.

The following requests will not be considered for a donation:

  • Individuals requesting donations for trips, sports sponsorships, pageants, medical expense coverage, etc.
  • Direct donation requests for individuals with catastrophic health and financial needs
  • Individuals soliciting on a behalf of a charity already supported by Sahlen Packing Co.
  • Fraternal, political, religious or labor organizations
  • Advertising in school yearbooks, programs for parties and other benefit performances
  • Requests for funding outside Sahlen Packing Co. marketing area
  • Organizations that are not classified as IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entities
